I can’t believe I voted for this turd (Obama). I read his book and this man loves power and thrives off of it the same as Bush did. Never again will I vote for a Democrat or Republican who doesn’t give a shit about the Constitution.

  2. Modeltrainguy says:

If Barack Obama does NOT want to debate with Ralph Nader on issues like this…Barack IS a Coward! Period!

I will vote for Ralph Nader! Barack McCain blew it long long long ago!

  3. nrobnas65 says:

Better get Nader on 50 states and allow him to debate against those crapitalists.

  4. nowellian says:

molloyx – I really don’t see your point. Democrats and republicans are just 2 sides of the same coin. Democrats push through what the republicans can’t.
Like when Clinton pushed through NAFTA, which is largely to blame for the massive job loss here and in Mexico. NAFTA is the main reason immigration has increased exponentially the last 10 years. Dems. also passed welfare reform and have help lead the attack on the working class. They are playing good cop bad cop and we lose.
    Vote Nader!

Does any serious minded person believe that Gore would have sent arch-conservative automatons like Robertson and Alioto to the Supreme Court? That he would have, like Cheney, huddled in secret with energy barons as Cheney did? That he would have surrounded himself with neo-con war hawks like Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Feith? That he would have chosen a glib proto fascist like Gonzalez to head the dept of justice?
    Not bloody likely.

  6. molloyx says:

Nader was by no means entirely to blame. Gore ran a lousy campaign, the Supreme Court was in the bag and much of the electorate bought the Dolt from Crawfords ridiculous Humble Cowpoke routine.
That said, Naders campaign was largely built on the notion that there was no real difference between Bush and Gore.
Now we well know how great that difference was and that the Nader campiagn was built upon an egregious and narcissitic lie.

  7. nowellian says:

The republicans, the media, and the supreme court stole the election in 2000 and they have convinced people that it was Ralph Naders fault.

Ha ha, People need to turn off their TVs and turn on their brains.
    Peace.

DEmocrats have got to stop scapegoating Nader and look at their own failings.
1st Bush’s claimed foreign policy b4 9/11 was a based on being against nation building as Ron Paul said, which was a platform he supported taht was never followed through

2nd don’t be so sure Al Gore wouldn’t have gone into Iraq as the CLinton/Gore administration bombed Iraq, Gore had war hawk Lieberman as his VP who supports the Iraq war

3rd Democrats Republicans both will incraese military spending

  9. RonPaulRevolution4u says:

    malloyx:
NO ONE in 2000 could have predicted 911 or the Iraq war. From his vantage point then, Nader could see what is MUCH more APPARENT to us now. BOTH parties are bought and sold by the same special interests: Big oil, military industrial complex, the medical industry, etc.

If all of this were not so, then the Democrats would have done their DUTY to OPPOSE the war, OPPOSE the “Patriot”Act, DENY ALL funding for the war, OPPOSE the Telecom Immunity Bill. They are the other half of the problem.

McCain and Obama differ on issues, but BOTH of them are just mainstream politicians that are beholden to the SAME special interests and ruling elites that control BOTH parties. I am done with BOTH
This country NEEDS a REVOLUTION; a re-awakening of consciousness where we ALL, left and right, band together and take down 2 big Parties’ hegemony over the system and bring REAL change.
The Democrats did little oppose or stop Bush, the war and the erosion of liberties. They are ALSO 2 blame

  11. molloyx says:

Nader, historically an heroic consumer advocate, lied to the electorate, for entirely narcissistic reasons as far as I am concerned, when he indicated a Gore presidency would essentially be no different than a Bush presidency. He is entirely culpable re the misery of the past 7 years.

  12. molloyx says:

    RPP.
I am not thrilled by Obamas ‘complex’ position on FISA [ he suggests we read the fine print]but nonetheless I am not about to make the perfect the enemy of the good and allow McBush to claim the presidency. There are stark differences between Obama and Bush re Iraq, energy policy, tax policy, health care, foreign policy, immigration and ’stripper vouchers’.

  13. nowellian says:

If you still support the democrats or the republicans you support imperialism abroad and tyranny at home!

    Support Nader/Gonzalez for president!

  14. RonPaulRevolution4u says:

    Molloyx:

The Democrats haven’t even tried to mount an opposition. A lot of them like Obama voted with the Republicans and gave Bush what he wanted with the Telecom Immunity Bill.

That’s why I’m fed up with Democrats as well as the Republicans. BOTH parties are WORTHLESS and are controlled by ALL the same special interests. They BOTH are going to run this country deeper into debt and make things worse. The Democrats aren’t going to do anything to upset the status quo or make any real changes.

  15. molloyx says:

    RPR.
We agree it has been a fiasco. We agree, I suspect, that Paul is dead right about Iraq and FISA.
As for the Democrats being unable to stop this ‘illegal war’ this is true because they simply dont have the numbers in the House and Senate [ not enough to stop fillibusters or over-ride a veto, w/ a razor thin Senate majority]. I am confident this will change November, as the Republican brand has been badly damaged.
    Great news, eh?

What you and so many who complain about how you think Nader ruined Gore and how awful Bush is because of it DON’T see is:
It’s taken a fiasco like the 8 years of Bush for more people to wake up and see that the things Nader was saying in 2000 and the things Ron Paul is this year are TRUE.
Nader said that the 2 big parties are like a 2 headed monster. If Bush is so bad and the Democrats so good, then why didn’t they try to stop his illegal war and his assault on civil liberties?

  17. Dionysos37 says:

Wait to see the complete 180-degree turn next year if a Dimocrap gets the White House—suddenly the Right will be screaming about the Constitution and limited powers and rule of law—YUH, dem are good ol’ Repuglican virtues….

  18. ArcticSlicer says:

I actually replied to a comment that seems to have been deleted. He said that the term “corporate citizen” is a real term and I replied saying that it was a perversion on what a citizen is. I whole hardly agree you and think that the FISA thing is a huge mistake.
